Academic Search Premier (EbscoHost)

A multi-disciplinary database that provides over 4,600 full text journals including nearly 3,900 peer-reviewed titles. Portable Document Format (PDF) backfiles to 1975 are available for over 100 journals and searchable cited references are provided for more than 1,000 titles.

 

ACM Digital Library

The ACM Digital Library is a research, discovery and network platform containing:

the full-text collection of all ACM publications, including journals, conference proceedings, technical magazines, newsletters and books.  A collection of curated and hosted full-text publications from selected publishers. The ACM Computing Literature, a comprehensive  bibliographic database focused exclusively on the field of computing.

 


 

Business Source Complete   (EbscoHost)

With premium full-text content and peer-reviewed business journals, this database is the essential tool for business students. It covers all disciplines of business, including marketing, management, accounting, banking, finance, and more. Indexing and abstracts and full text are available back as far as 1886

 


 

Columbia International Affairs Online (CIAO)

A comprehensive source for theory and research in international affairs and publications (updated monthly).

 

 The Chronicle of Higher Education

A major source of news, information, and job advertisements for college and university faculty members and administrators.

 

Credo Reference

 Credo is an easy-to-use tool for research projects and homework. Search in hundreds of encyclopedias, dictionaries, thesauri, quotations, and subject-specific titles, as well as 200,000+ images and audio files, and nearly 1200 videos.

 


 E-Book Collection (EbscoHost) 

Search the content of 130,000 electronic books in multiple subject areas. Downloading is available either for parts or the entire book. 

 

EBSCO Discovery Service

Provides users with an easy, yet powerful means of accessing all of an institution's information resources through a single search. 

 

EconBiz

This database includes open access material in Business and Economics. 

 

Encyclopedia Britannica

Encyclopedia Britannica provides timely, relevant, and trustworthy information that is updated on a daily basis. Merriam-Webster's dictionary is also provided through Encyclopedia Britannica. 

 

ERIC (Education Resource Information Center) (EBSCOhost)

ERIC offers over 1,300,000 records and links to more than 317,000 full text documents dating back to 1966.

 

European Views of the Americas: 1493 to 1750 (EBSCOhost)

This new bibliographic database is a valuable resource from “European Americana: A Chronological Guide to Works Printed In Europe Relating to The Americas, 1493-1750.” The database contains more than 32,000 entries and is a comprehensive guide to printed records about the Americas written in Europe before 1750.

 


 

Funk & Wagnall’s New World Encyclopedia (EBSCOhost)

This database provides over 25,000 encyclopedic entries covering a variety of subject areas.

 


 

GreenFILE (EBSCOhost)

Information covering all aspects of human impact to the environment including scholarly, government and general-interest collections on global warming, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, and more with indexing and abstracts for more than 384,000 records and full text for more than 4,700 records.

 


  

Hoover’s Online (ProQuest)

Hoover's features information on more than 42,000 public and private corporations, personnel and products, including information on key executives and 700 industries.

 


  

JSTOR

A research database providing access to complete archives of digitized core scholarly journals, many dating from the 1800s.

 


   

Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts (EBSCOhost)

LISTA indexes more than 560 core journals, nearly 50 priority journals, and nearly 125 selective journals, plus books, research reports and proceedings. Subject coverage includes librarianship, classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information management, and more. Coverage in the database extends back to the mid-1960s.

 


  

MAS Ultra - School Edition (EBSCOhost)

This database contains full text for nearly 500 popular, high school magazines, and expanded full text backfiles to 1975 for key magazines. It offers over 360 full text reference books, 85,670 biographies, 105,786 primary source documents, and a School Image Collection of photos, maps & flags, and color PDFs.

 

 Military & Government Collection (EBSCOhost)

Offers full text to nearly 300 periodicals, journals and current news pertaining to all branches of the military and government.


  

Oxford Handbooks Online

Oxford Handbooks Online brings together the world's leading scholars to write review essays that evaluate the current thinking on a field or topic, and make an original argument about the future direction of the debate. Bissell Library has access to 86 titles of the entire Oxford Handbooks collection. These titles span on the thematic areas of Literature, Classical Studies, and History. A full text database providing essays presenting multiple sides of a current controversial issue. Includes more than 270 topics, each with an overview, objective background/description, point (argument), counterpoint (opposing argument), and Critical Thinking Guide.

 

Primary Search (EBSCOhost)

Primary Search provides full text for more than 70 popular magazines suitable for elementary school research. All full text articles are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles), and full text content dates back to 1990.

The Serials Directory™ provides access to the most up-to-date and accurate bibliographic information as well as current pricing structures for popular serials. This database contains nearly 250,000 U.S. and international titles, (including newspapers) data from more than 108,000 publishers worldwide (including e-mail and Internet addresses), and Library of Congress and Dewey Decimal Classifications for every entry.
