Ideas Worth Sharing at ACT

Ideas have the power to change people’s attitudes, lives and ultimately entire communities. Innovative thinkers are a source of inspiration and hope for the future, especially in a time of economic and political unrest.

Starting on the 14th of March 2011, ACT
will be holding a discussion every month!
We welcome speakers from all backgrounds: scientific, technological, business, marketing,
entertainment, art, education,

socio-economic development and more.

FIRST SPEAKER:
Dr. Athanasios G. Konstandopoulos

“ A CLEAN FUEL ECONOMY – Energy from Sun, Water and Carbon Dioxide!”

Monday, March 14th, 5pm, at the Bissell Library of ACT, 2nd floor North

Dr. Konstandopoulos leads an international research team that developed the HYDROSOL process for renewable hydrogen production by using solar energy to split water.

He will speak about the Hydrosol project and the future of Solar Fuels and their potential impact on the world industry and economy.

Dr. Konstandopoulos has received worldwide recognition through the 2006 Descartes Prize for Research (the highest scientific award in the European Union), the 2006 International Partnership for the Hydrogen Economy (IPHE) Inaugural Technical Achievement Award and the Global 100 Eco-tech Award at the 2005 Expo in Aichi, Japan.
